Hamilton - G

Hamilton full G road test practice plan.

Prepare for busier corridors, industrial traffic, highway-style speed, and sharper scanning habits.

Road types

Practise the conditions that expose weak habits.

  • Industrial roads
  • Multi-lane arterials
  • Highway-style ramps
  • Commercial turns
Weather, traffic, and construction matter. Skip any segment that is not safe for the learner's current ability.
Session plan

Use the drive to produce a short fix list.

Step 1

Start with lane-position control and shoulder checks on lower-speed roads.

Step 2

Move to high-speed-road practice with repeated merge, maintain, lane-change, and exit cycles.

Step 3

Finish with parking-lot and low-speed control to reset accuracy before the debrief.

Debrief

A useful mock route ends with evidence.

After the drive, write down one thing you missed, one thing you corrected, and one thing you will repeat next session. That creates momentum without turning practice into superstition.

  • Observation: Were mirror and blind-spot checks visible before movement?
  • Speed: Did speed match the posted limit, traffic, and conditions?
  • Position: Were turns, lane changes, and stops clean and legal?
  • Decision timing: Did the learner plan early or react late?

FAQ

Route practice questions.

Is this an official road test route?

No. This is a Roadity practice plan. It helps you practise road types and decisions near a DriveTest centre without claiming to be the examiner's route.

Can I practise this route alone?

Only drive in ways your licence allows. G1 drivers need proper supervision, and full G highway-style practice should match your legal conditions and ability.

How many times should I repeat a sample route?

Repeat the skill pattern, not the exact turns. Once the drive feels easy, change the order, time of day, traffic level, or road mix.
